THURSDAY 22 OCTOBER
1970 295th day - 70 days to come
I called Eve Auchincloss at BOOK WORLD. It is the literary
supplement for the WASHINGTON POST and the
CHICAGO TRIBUNE (what a combination!). She left it up to
me to include whatever I want, including my own games.
She originally said 1200 words, but said that I could
go up to 1500. I asked her if she had seen AGOG.
No, but she'll get one to look at the reviews.
She had an ecological game, EXTINCTION, which she
was going to send to me. Instead I had BB call her and
[crossed out] arrange to pick it up.
Arthur called. Among other things, he mentiond that
Anne had seen FOCUS featured in a window display in
their neighborhood.
Claude visited me at the hospital. He made a card
game specially for the occasion. It was called HEARTLESS
because only the other three suits were used. It was
a "stops" type game but I don't remember all the de-
tails. (Will have to check with Claude next time I see him.)
Rcd. a glossy of QUERIES 'N THEORIES, also an ad
sheet and the spring 1970 WFF'N PROOF NEWSLETTER.
(cont. form 10/23) [10/31]
play they can play as partners with each team having
3 colors. When 5 play, each gets 1 color. 6 can play
either each for himself, in 3 teams of 2, or in 2
teams of 3.
Tried to do some mental work on LIVE WIRE but
couldn't seem to make any progress.
[started 10/31]
When talking to Phil Orbanes I mentioned Gini Scott and
her CONFRONTATION. He is aware of it, but the
name belongs to "Renwal" now. If Carl wants Jim's
CONFRONTATION they will rename it.
