SUNDAY 11 OCTOBER 1970
Twentieth Sunday after Trinity 284th day - 81 days to come
[crossout]
(cont. from 10/15) [10/15]
collection of "Frederic Jessel" who wrote A BIBLIOGRAPHY
OF WORKS IN ENGLISH ON PLAYING CARDS AND GAMING. That doesn't
mean that all the books mentioned in it are in the col-
lection, but I will prepare a list of books I am inter-
ested in and he will check whether the library has
them.
They do have all the "Aquarius" books and he will get re-
productions of any I want. (I suggested that we each keep
track of our expenses and settle up periodically, so that we
won't hesitate to ask each other for things. He agreed.)
If I want to use the library I have to write for
permission to: [bracket] Bodley's Library
The Bodleian Library
Oxford, England
He doesn't think I should have any trouble, but if I do he'll
recommend me.
When I went to bed I left Michael in my room looking at
books. (He slept over.)
(cont. from 10/16) [10/16]
books are: AUSGEWAHLTE KARTENSPIELE
BUCH DER FAMILIENSPIELE, DAS
BUCH DER SPIELE
The date of his visit will be determined.
Michael mentioned that there was a store on Nassan St. in
Princeton that sells only games. (I'll have to stop of on
my way to visit Herb Siegel.)
Rcd. a letter from Pierre Berloquin in answer to mine. Would
like NEW DEAL SOLITAIRE (which I mailed on 10/14).
Called Felicia. The game the doctor brought to Felicia was
purely a RUMMY game. It has topical designs - such as
"suicide", "marijuana", and another card makes a meld.
He calls it AMERICAN RUMMY or INTERACT, neither of which
is desirable.
Had my father look at his translation of MARIAS. He had
gone off somewhere. He took the book and will retranslate
this and then some other parts.
Prepared material on memory GAME and LIVE WIRE to take to hospital
