THURSDAY 8 OCTOBER 1970
281st day - 84 days to come
Rcd. a package from Australia addressed to "Random House"
& forwarded to me. No letter. It was from:
{D. Laycock
{Australian National University
{Canberra, A.C.T.
{Australia
It contained SQUATTER - (Unfortunately with rules missing.)
AUSSIE FOOTY (special ball and shooter missing.)
VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY - (Essentials seem to be there.)
BUSHLAND FRIENDS (Very juvenile.)
SKIPPY (Very juvenile.)
Apparently it was opened for customs inspection and the parts
lost. SQUATTER was the most interesting. It was copywrited in
1961 so I hope I'll be able to get the rules.
Started a letter to Don Miller of "NFFF".
Found out today that Dale had mono. Called Herb Siegel and
called off our visit for this Sunday & Monday. He was disappointed
but appreciated our consideration of not exposing
them to the disease. He definitely wants to come and
we [illegible crossed out] talked about right after Thanksgiving.
I told him I'd send a copy of AGOG now.
I asked about the latest date he collects games.
He prefers before the 1900's but will take up to 1910. If
I see anything I should get it if it is up to $10.
If more, contact him.
(cont. from 10/9) [10/9]
mailing AGOG. Also bought an 1971 game diary.
At Felicia's asked for Marge Naramore's address to get
glossies of SMOG and DIRTY WATER. Felicia called but
no answer. I'll try next week. (She sees by appointment only.)
{Marge Naramore
{58 W. 8th St.
{GR 5-4479
To "Gary & Riedel". spoke to secretary again and
gave her a copy of AGOG signed "To all my friends
at "Gary & Riedel"."
She gave me a copy of TRADE THE MARKET after I
told her of the broken promises from the publishers.
She said that no stock market game has had any
success. I mentioned that STOCKS & BONDS is "3M's"
best seller and she said that she hears that it isn't
moving at all.
