WEDNESDAY 30 SEPTEMBER 1970
273rd day - 92 days to come
Working on the new set of cards for SLEUTH, after deciding to
use the term (Free Choice), BB saw in a book on antiques that
garnets come in many colors. Decided, however, to go with the 3 stones
I already suggested.
Red, a letter from Michael Dummett. (See 9/22), He'll
call me tomorrow about getting together.
Red, a letter from Robert Zubrin, asking me not to
publish his THREE SIDED CHESS in S&T, since he is
going to have it patented. He has found some interesting
patents which he offered to send me.
Red. another letter from Haar Hoolim.
Red, Sept. PLAYTHINGS, SCORE FOUR has been made in
a special edition for the blind. One color has been made
a cube while the other remains a sphere.
CONFRONTATION, NITTY GRITTY and OH PEG IT are men-
tioned in an article.
GYRATION (Star Products) Object is to manipulate a gyro-
scope on a board to hit targets and avoid obstacles (sent for info)
SUPER PRO FOOTBALL (Munro Games) - Gimmicky game. (Sent for info.)
The Sears X'Mas Catalog came. Had TWIXT and
STOCKS AND BONDS, also two of the "Starcraft" puzzles.
Called Felicia and told her I had the pictures from Jack Davis.
When "Morris Berdick" was in Atlantic City he got into [illegible word crossed out]
a conversation with the owner of two big toy stores.
He was interested in me and would like a copy of my
book (is willing to pay). I told Morris I'd send him one
{Allen M. Taber
Taber's TOY-A-RAMA
1125 Boardwalk
Atlantic City, N.J.
Claude called, He picked up a used copy of the Sept.
SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN (which I bought new) for 50¢.
He made an agreement with the owner of "Oggi" (which
has now changed its name). Claude was owed $48 in ad-
ditional royalties. Claude gave these up in return for
Oggi releasing him from any sharing royalties in any
puzzles he places in the future. The 3 already
placed will still with "Norton" will still share royalties.
