FRIDAY 11 SEPTEMBER
1970 254th day - 111 days to come
The game CONFRONTATION Gini Scott promised me came.
Bob Hallowell of Gametime called. Wants to see EXCALIBUR.
I'll call Monday morning and set a lunch date. I
said I'd make a model but he suggested my not doing
the work until after he looks at my sketches.
{ Bob Hallowell, Gametime Inc., 1133 Broadway (Rm. 7/4), 243-5353
I mentioned Brian Blake and his "Memory Flash Cards." Bob
said to have him get in touch.
Called Phil Orbanes in evening to tell him about Bob's
call. He said that since I did all the work I should
get the royalties on EXCALIBUR. I said definitely that
they should be shared. If I sell other things to Bob
which they had no connection with then I'll consider
taking the entire royalty.
Phil is much happier now at "TLAG." Jerry Goldstien is
running things and he is much fairer. Now that
AQUARIUS 2000 is finished Phil is working on another
self-analysis product. Most of his work is done at home.
AQUARIUS 2000 will be advertised in half page ads in
this and next Saturday's Times, followed by a full page in
the following week.
Phil's packaging for his "Home Entertainment Center"
games (I told him that "Hasbro's" name was very simil-
ar) was costed out at a $12 retail. This is the same
as "Hasbro's" special design series games, which seem
to be selling well. There will be a meeting within the next
week or so to decide whether to go with this project. If
yes, Phil will have me do the rules. We'll split my fee nad
also the royalties he will get.
Rcd. a letter from Robert Fratkin (see 9/1). He and his
wife will be in New York in a few weeks and he'll call me
about getting together.
Wrote a letter to Kathy Brooks covering my comments
on the EXECUTIVE DECISION rules.
