Fifteenth Sunday after Trinity
249th day - 116 days to come
Arthur called to confirm his date for next week. Set Thursday
at 7. I asked and Arthur had Wald call me with directions to his
house.
Tried to call Gary Sherbell but his phone was out of order.
Working on Game Diary a good part of the day.
Thinking of a PUZZLE which might go something like this. On
the 25 center squares of a 7 x 7 grid, place 25 pcs. which have
one color on one side and another color on the other side. Any pc.
can be jumped over an adjoining pc. or continuous row of pcs.,
orthogonally or diagonally [illegible crossed out] to an adjoining empty
space. A pc. or pcs. passed over are turned over. Object is to get
all pcs. turned over to opposite color.
Different starting positions can be used , or even random.
Or cubes could be turned thru a definite series.
A GAME could be played with each player (2) having
one of the colors and scoring for certain configurations of
their color. With cubes 6 can play.

about glossies of the pictures of me and I told her
I had already asked and would keep after them.
We decided that I would complete the new version of
FITTING & PROPER and we'd submit it to X but would
insist on a contract that would require rediscussion
if it is not out by next spring's stationery show.
"Urban Systems" will be coming out with the following games : -
LIFE IN THE WATER, WHY ARE LEAVES GREEN?, WHAT MOVES LIFE?,
LIFE FROM DEATH, CHAIN OF BEING, PREDATOR PREY - These
will be shipped in Sept. and will retail for $6.
POPULATION and ECOLOGY will be published later in the year.

Asked for Steve Solomon at Arrco. Not in and noone else
would help me with SKARNEY DICE. Was told to call in
the morning.
At S. & R. got instructions for CARD CUBES (these appear to be supplementary) (Later saw that they were just a rough set of final) and OPINION POLL. Also got 2(these appear to be supplementary)
decks of cards for the latter.(these appear to be supplementary)
At Parker looked at SMESS (See 9/5 for board).
has 12 pieces started as shown. The Brain and the Ninnys
move 1 space in any direction with an arrow. Numskulls
move as far as desired in a straight line with from the
starting arrow. Ninnys are promoted to Numskulls when they
reach the opposite side, providing that one has been cap-
