SATURDAY 29 AUGUST
1970 241st day - 124 days to come
Brought a copy of FOCUS to office for "Al," to give to his
nephew. (Earlier in week Al brought back the copy of
AGOG he gave to his nephew for me to autograph.)
Took the 26 storage boxes back from the office. Had to
make two trips, giving the porter $1 to watch them
while I made the first trip.
Gave "Walt Adamski" and "Al Costeles" the two copies of
SNAFU "Renwal" gave me Thursday.
Looked at the rules of my games preparatory to
demonstrating them at "Hallmark" Gallery. Did some
fixing of the typos in the COMBINATION column, tho
BB did most of this. Put red checks next to my
games on the "3M," "Stancraft," and "Renwal" brochures,
some of them that is.
Rcd. Sept. PANZERFAUST. Had a complete game by Chris Johnson
- POLTAWA.
In looking at the rules for VENTURE saw that in the
new Gamette version they have eliminated scoring for
cards remaining in hand at end. The new rule-score
the same as for a profit card at the end.
BB bought me four boxes of polished stones in a Japanese
import store - 2 of large stones & 2 of small.
(cont. from 8/30) [9/1]
Rcd. the Sept.-Oct. 1970 IDEAS NEWSLETTER.
Rcd. a card from Mike Abrams. SUCCESSION will be out
in March 1971, put out by Dr. R. Garry Shirts of "Similie II." He
is also trying to get it, put out by "ABALGA" in Sweden.
He sees "Nothing but positive Reviews on your book (AGOG).
Sent a letter to Jim Kraus with my ideas on the rare
stone theme. Also suggesting SOLUTION or SLEUTH as names
to replace SEARCH.
When I spoke to Bob Edwards he didn't say anything about my
coming to Kansas City, so I didn't either. (This happened,
or rather didn't happen, yesterday.)
