WEDNESDAY 26 AUGUST
1970 238th day - 127 days to come
Reproded the material I borrowed from Pete Gersten (see
6/25) FANTOCINI, etc.
Reproduced the TRIAGO rules.
Called Tom Nelson. Told him that the games & brochures arrived.
He heard from Hank Simmons. The idea of a radio appear-
ance of the two of us is "On target." Tom will get working on
it.
He wanted to take pictures of my "Hallmark" demonstration.
I told him that "3M" was sending a photographer and that I
was seeing Jack Davis today. He asked me to check whether
they wanted to share expenses.
He brought up the possibility of the two of us working on
a P.R. GAME sometime in the future.
Thinking of the rare stone theme for SEARCH. Two
stones could be Diamond and Pearl. Betty, our secretary,
suggested OPAL.
To "Pierce Promotions" about 4. Meeting with Jack and
Audrey.
Got two each of MONAD and VENTURE. Also about 500
of the "Fun 'N Games" brochures. They will get copies
of ACQUIRE and BAZAAR to me next week.
Set time for taking pictures. Wed. @ 10. Audrey called Tom Nelson,
who is a V.P. of his company, and they arranged to split the
cost. Audrey doesn't think there is much chance to get in
the newspapers, but they will try for the trade press.
I told Jack about the CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR inter-
view and he was quite interested.
Rcd. a page of the 8/25 CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR with the
interview, from Marilyn Hoffman.
Rcd. a short letter from Tom Atwater. Hank Laub has not
been following thru with his promises to write.
Rcd. the October selection of GAME-OF-THE-MONTH (N.J.)
TOTOPOLY. They also have NILE for $4.10.
Rcd. the EXECUTIVE DECISION rules from Kathy Brooks with
several questions. Also repros of the "Information Board"
and "Executive Decision Tally."
(cont. from 9/9) [9/10]
Arthur gave Claude a cut HIGH DECK and gave me a
set of sheets to cut by myself.
