TUESDAY 18 AUGUST 1970
230th day - 135 days to come
Ken Morgan called and then came to office to pick up
MOVIE MOGULS. Made a repro of my review of the
game to give him and also one to send to the Presi-
dent of "Research Games Inc.", at Ken's request.
He is seeing Dave LeFevre today and will check on
VINCE LOMBARDI'S GAME, which Dave promised to send to
me. If he didn't send it yet Ken will bring me a copy.
Ken asked me if I knew of the "Mego" company. I didn't.
They had heard of his MOVIE MOGULS and were interested in
talking to him. He hadn't called them yet.
I suggested to Ken that when a player lands on "Awards"
he should pick one card for each finished [crossout] pro-
duction. He liked the idea since at present most of the
oscars are not given out during a game.
Marilyn Hoffman of the CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR
called at the office and interviewed me. She got my num-
ber from Roger Jones after seeing the "Hallmark Exhibit."
It will be in around next Tuesday. She will send me
a tear sheet. One of the things she asked was which
game was my best seller. ACQUIRE, of course.
Remember that I hadn't mentioned AGOG. Called
her (757-1222) and told her about it. She asked the price.
Told her but suggested she contact Diane Jaust. She
said she'd look at it in "Brentano's."
Called Jane Jordan to thank her for the call from Marilyn
Hoffman and for the clippings I rcd. on 8/10.
We discussed my demonstration. She liked the idea of the
COMBINATION giveaway. People like to take something with
them.
Most of the demonstrators are working from 10 to 4
rather than the official 12 to 3.
Last week MEM was demonstrated by Holt's 12
year old daughter. She played with the visitors, and
always won.
Jane suggested that I have "Random House" contact
the "Doubleday Book Store" next to "Hallmark" with a
suggestion that they put AGOG in the window [crossout]
the week I am demonstrating.
Brought my column and the stamp to S&T Skink
Works.
Rcd. a letter from Gini Scott of "IDEAS." She is in New York
for the "Gift Show," and would like to meet me. Called
her at her mother's in Great Neak. Made date for her to
come here Thursday.
Rcd. a letter from Bill Hoyers reminding me that dues
(cont. on 8/17)
