FRIDAY 14 AUGUST 1970
226th day - 139 days to come
Made 2 repros of AIRLINE rules and one of
HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME.
Called Jack Davis. He will get me 1000 copies of
their "Fun & Games" folder. He is not aware of any
with ACQUIRE on the cover.
Told him of ACQUIRE being mentioned in the DAILY NEWS
article on the "Hallmark" exhibit. He'd like to see it
to include in his report.
Told him of my two games in the spring but by
mistake told him of PROFIT instead of SEARCH. He
knows that they are coming out with some kind of
BRIDGE variant.
There will probably be pictures of the Gamettes
in: TOWN & COUNTRY (Nov.) and WOMAN'S DAY X'Mas
Special (Dec.). He has been pushing VENTURE and MONAD.
Made date to go there 8/26 to discuss the "Hallmark" Ex-
hibit. Also for me to pick up games & folders.
To "Skunk Works". Picked up 1000 fliers with my
COMBINATION column on one side and part of another
column on the other side. Jim also wanted me to
take 1000 of the promotion brochures but I thought they
were not appropriate wince they were a hard sell for
S&T with hardly a mention of me. We comprised
and I took about 200 for those who were particularly
interested in S&T. I also took an S&T address stamp
to stamp all the sheets. At home discovered two typos,
one my fault and one theirs, which will have to be
fixed.
Al Nofi and I discussed the Press Card and he will
take care of having some made up.
Nick Zubrin had his THREE SIDED CHESS there. Watched
part of a game and he has it quite well worked
out, He gave me a set of the rules.
Jim said that the contract with Vidmer was close. It
will be a 6-month trial.
We decided that I would do 2 pages of reviews
for the Nov.-Dec. issue, mainly things like SMOG,
BLACKS & WHITES GAME, etc.
Jim told me that Stan Harris had left "Renwal"
for "Aurora."
