THURSDAY 16 JULY 1970
197th day - 168 days to come
Called Mickie Mackay. She sent her one copy of
THE CHECKERED GAME OF LIFE to the "Hallmark Gallery"
after talking to Jane Jordan. She apologized for not
calling to tell me. She also thanked me for giving her
the opportunity to repair some of the damage done by the
home office.
Claude called to tell me I was mentioned in the article
on games in the July TOYS & NOVELTIES, also AGOG.
Called Tom Nelson. He said that DOZO, CASTILLE, and ZODIAC 111
were definitely sent (and they did arrive today). Told him of the dates I will be demonstrating. He'll try to send a photographer.
Told him of the goof and he said I should contact Jim Rock-
well about it. I told him of Jim's promotion, which he
didn't know. Also that my agent was taking care of it.
He wanted me to let him know how the GRIT interview
went. Told him I'd call on Wednesday, after the press con-
ference.
"Al Costeles" asked if I could get him a copy of AGOG
for a relative. Yes, as soon as I get a new supply.
The Ad information on INTERNATIONAL TENNIS came.
The five copies of AGOG came. In good condition.
Called Arthur to tell him I couldn't make it next
Tuesday because of the press conference. Didn't set another.
(cont. from 7/17) [7/17]
box was all beat up.
Claude told me of a set of rubber stamps he bought
with 24 different shapes. It cost $3 at the edu-
cational store on 6th Ave. He'll pick one up for me
when he gets there again.
July TOYS & NOVELTIES came. The mention of me
was very small. In the list of best-selling games
OH-WAH-REE and TWIXT were included, but not ACQUIRE
or STOCKS & BONDS.
When discussing the prejudice against cube puzzles in connection
with GENIUS BLOCKS. I suggested the idea of dials with
windows in case it is turned down because of the cubes.
Claude thought it was an excellent idea and offered
me a cut if he uses it (since I was thinking of doing
a puzzle myself using the dials). We'll discuss it when
the time comes.
