THURSDAY 25 JUNE
1970 176th day - 189 days to come
Brian Blake called. Told him I had a breakthru on the
Memory GAME and that I'd try to get a rough model
put together over the 4th of July weekend.
Felicia called. She had a letter from Bill Caruson which she
read to me. "They are 100% sold on EXECUTIVE DECISION.
Keith Tuggle is finishing the costing prior to presenting
it to management. The contract should come in July."
"Sales of the games were good thru May. They were soft in
June but they expect a good year."
Felicia sent KRYPTO to X and I mentioned that they
wouldn't take it and DIGIT too. She said that she had
to give the client what he asked for & I agreed.
Western (Tom Mason - I think) sent her an article (from
their house organ - I believe) on GHETTO. She'll reproduce it
for me before sending the original to X.
Jim Goldsberry has sent her large forms to fill out for
her monthly report to X.
In the letter from Western they said that the upgrading of
FOCUS was in the words and the answer is expected in a
few months.
They definitely want her to show them things and they
will give royalties. (Even tho Natalie Donna got only
$1000 for FLINGERS. Felicia was glad that she cashed her
check for $750.)
Y cancelled the meeting on Tuesday. Will set another one
soon.
Felicia asked if I had any info on LIFT OFF by
the Dixie Game Co. X is bugging her about it.
She tried to call Rudy Lopez about my helping him with
LIVE WIRE. No answer. She'll write to him.
Called Mickie Mackay. Supposed to call back but didn't.
To Pete Gerstein's. Two of his partners were there. They are
all young kids. We discussed their ideas for a store special-
izing in games. I voiced a doubt whether there was enough
volume in such a specialized store. They are now trying to raise
the money (and wouldn't have minded if I had offered some).
I said that I would work with them and if any compensation
was involved I would take it in stock rather than cash, which
they seemed to apreciate. Incidentally I told them that they
shouldn't have used my name without my prior approval, but that
