Sunday 21 June 1970
Fourth Sunday after Trinity 172nd day - 193 days to come
First Day of Summer - Father's Day
Working on game diary. Read the rules of RICHESSES DU MONDE,
LONGS COURS, LES PRESIDENTS DIRECTEURS GENERAUX, &
DIAMINO.
In each of the boxes was a folder listing the Miro games.
Featured are:- RADIO GUIDAGE, LES PRESIDENT DIRECTEURS GENERAUX,
CLUEDO (CLUE), PROBE, LONG COURS, LES PIONNIERS DU RAIL
(RAILROADER), SAUTEZ DANS LE BATEAU (DON'T MISS THE BOAT),
MONOPOLY, FORMULE I, COUP D'ETAT, NOUVEAU LEXICON. Listed
as "Autres Creations":- ASCOT, LA CLE (KEYWORD), ROME ET CARTHAGE,
CONQUETE DU MONDE, SUCCES, PANTHEON DU L'EUROPE, SERVICE SEVRET,
FORMES ET COULEURS, SCOOP, L'ONCLE D'AMERIQUE (RICH UNCLE),
CHICAGO, LES CONVOIS, CUBIC, MINOUGRI.
Found the two letters I couldn't find on 5/29.
(cont. from 6/24) [6/25]
ored pegs sticking in the spaces of a cruciform board.
Took the following material with me to reproduce & return:
FANTOCCINI - An ad sheet for this "game of Living Theater."
GULP 'N GIGGLE - Rules for a combination of BLOCKHEAD & PASS-OUT.
SKI GAMMON - The rules that I am missing.
An ad sheet for STRIP TAC TOE, BUMPS & GRINDS, and
ADULTERY (which is pretty much [crossout] POST OFFICE with a timer,
each of the two people out of the room spinning an allotted
time, the two being added together.)
FINGERPRINT EXPERT - An ad sheet which shows the board
and gives a pretty good idea of the play. (Pete says he found
it at the Stationery Show.)
Pete said that he had tried to become friendly with Eric Naiburg,
President of "Plan B," after he did well with VECTOR (only
DIPLOMACY did better). Naiburg would make dates and then
not show up. He thinks, however, that Eric would send
me a copy of CARAPACE due to my review of VECTOR.
One of Pete's associates joined THE GAME OF THE MONTH CLUB (N.J.)
to observe it's operation. He has had 4 games sent by failing
to return the card. He also hasn't sent any money yet, with
no action from the club yet.
Spoke to Penny, Pete's wife. They are big fans of MONAD.
They liked BAZAAR at first but then grew tired of it.
Pete asked if I had done the 2-hand version of ACQUIRE
and I admitted that it had be done at 3M.
