WEDNESDAY 17 JUNE 1970
Bunker Hill Day (Boston)
168th day - 197 days to come
Felicia called. There is a new game company called "The
Rolling Front Game co." Bob Grossman who is a friend
of Norman Monath (inventor of BALI) is also a friend
of the president of the new company. He, the president,
is on leave from a film company. Felicia is dealing with
Bob Scher.
They have a visual card game called SHAZZLE and a
strategy GAME. Felicia suggested my evaluating the
games but they said they know they are good. They want
her help in marketing them.
Marge Naramore brought Felicia a copy of SMOG to send to
X. She didn't have a copy available of DIRTY WATER.
Felicia and Marge thought that Richard Rosen the president
of Urban Systems would be interested in hearing
from me and that I should ask him for copies.
Felicia asked me to check on the publisher of KRYPTO.
We decided to ask him for 1/3 of his royalties for me to
work on LIVE WIRE. I believe I can improve the game,
as well as writing the rules.
3M is interested in his outdoor game.
His GAME that Whitman bought outright is a $1 children's
item.
From "Impact" she hears that GO SEE is definite for next year.
TOTALLY-- and TROMINO GO are still very much alive. I
told her to tell them I need notice to prepare further
games for Enjay.
Felicia is working on FREEDOM with them for Coca Cola.
The press meeting on 7/21 is for the opening of an
exhibit on the history of games at the Hallmark gallery.
She wrote to them again saying that I should be
consulted, or at least invited. If we're not invited
she suggests our going on my Press Pass.
She spoke to the inventor of INDIAN CHESS and he said he'd
write his own rules.
Pete Gersten of Gamester's Ltd. (GAME OF THE MONTH CLUB - N.Y.) called. I'll go to his house next Thursday to discuss my
acting as a consultant on their new store.
He asked if I know a game called FANTOCCINI. He has material
on it and has asked them to send him a copy. Hopefully
he will have it and also "Plan B's" new game CARAPACE when I
go there next Thursday.
I had been trying to call Arthur without success. He
called and told me he is staying at Anne's sister. He
is on vacation starting on July 3rd & would like to have
a game meeting sometime after.
