Monday 15 June 1970
166th day - 199 days to come
Called Felicia. Answering service reminded me that she didn't
come in on Mondays.
Called Jim Dunnigan. He rcd. my column on COMBINATION for
S&T #22, and it is already set in type.
He sent me a copy of #21 on 5/27 first class. I never
received it. He'll send me another, with the staff notes. But I'll
have to complain to the post office.
I told him about Tom Shaw's letter to me concerning the
survival game. He rcd. the books on survival from Tom and
also some on the revolutionary war. Tom wants 2 games.
Jim can use DEPLOYMENT for the latter and possibly we'll
work together on the former. He'll try to get up here with
the books in the next few weeks.
(cont. from 6/16) [6/16]
Sid a recap on this game May 22nd. I told him I would send him a
recap May [crossout] 25th and it was mailed May 27th. I covered the
game briefly and explained to him the circumstances under which
it is being considered. Its' earliest possible introduction date
would be March 1, 1971. More on this later.
PROFIT:- Just received this one. Thank you for getting it to me this
quickly. Quite frankly, SEARCH and PROFIT could easily become comet-
itors for a new Gamette in March of 1971. One of the two will have
to be considered for 1972 introduction. If this bothers you or Sid,
please advice [advise].
EXECUTIVE DECISION:- This game is not under my responsibility. I
have no idea as to its' status. I would suggest possibly contac-
ing Keith.

Currently we are buried with really good games. The time nec-
essary to evaluate them restricts any quick analysis. I can only say that to be fair to the inventor and to ourselves, we
currently need at least 6 to 9 months to "check out" a game.
It is important you keep this in mind.
Very truly yours, Jim (Kraus)
Felicia sold a children's GAME by Rudy Lopez to
"Whitman" for a flat sum.
Felicia showed me a letter to Bill Caruson asking him
what was happening with EXECUTIVE DECISION. She also told
him, in a light manner, that I was planning on leaving my
job and the July royalties would certainly be a factor.
She rcd. a letter from Keith Tuggle, on the bottom of hers to
him. Nothing on me.
[written in red at bottom of page "Second Payment Federal Income Tax Due."]
Irwin Pfeffer wants her to resubmit ASTRO-FLITE to all the
companies, although he has been doing it himself. She
