MONDAY 4 MAY
Rogation Day 1970 124th day - 241 days to come
<---- [SEE 5/3] ---->
sent back the refusal card to GAME OF THE MONTH CLUB (N.J.)
with a personal note to Charles Wibel asking him to keep in
touch.
(cont. from 5/5) [5/5]
cut down the sales.
Tom has about 10 things of Alex' out for consideration. Nothing
is definite yet and he'll be happy if 5 come thru.
Hank Simmons hasn't been very easy to deal with. Tom feels that
he is not comfortable in his new job where he is involved
more with acquisitions than with developing products.
On Friday May 15th Tom will be in New York attending a seminar
conducted by Steve Miller of "Creative Playthings" (previously the
owner of 1-2-Kangaroo). (Frank Kaplan has left "Creative Playthings.") I
mentioned the mess that was made of the rules for SEXTETT. Tom
will mention this at the meeting. He asked how much I would want
to rewrite the rules. I said $15 an hour and he said that was a bar-
gain.
Tom will come here for a visit on Saturday morning, 16th of May.
Wrote letter to [crossed out] Jerry D'Arcey, with a message to Frank
Thibault. Also asked him to remind Frank I was still
waiting for the rules for SQUIGGLE.
Called Jim Dunnigan and asked when he wants my column. [crossed out] He
wants it by the end of May, which means before my vacat-
ion. I suggested a SOLITAIRE game together with a review of
SOLO BALL. He thought it would be a good idea.
Started thinking of a SOLITAIRE game I was working on some
years ago, based on placing a card next to two cards that add up
to the same final digit. (Later worked it out and called it
COMBINATION.)
