TUESDAY 28 APRIL
1970 118th day - 247 days to come
Home from work and wrote to:
Bob Engel - about DOWNFALL
Tom Shaw - thanking him for THE GENERAL and asking for THE STOCK MARKET GAME and KRIEGSPIEL
"Mary Louise Fisher" sent her a FOCUS booklet.
"Michael Trombetta" - about CASE OF THE ELUSIVE ASSASSIN.
Charles Hubbell
James Nichols - about JOTTO.
Irwin Pfeffer - ASTRO-FLITE.
Stephen Howard
Called Felicia and asked about ASTRO-FLITE. She said she'd
rather wait until I have tried it but will look at it
if he sends it in. She said there is a company inter-
ested in an educational space game. I asked her how
about my MAN IN SPACE which I did for Impact. She
hasn't seen it so I'll bring it to her next week.
She had a letter from Bill Caruson. In answer to her request
that we be kept informed about European operations he told us that
ACQUIRE and BAZAAR were being manufactured in Italy and will
be on sale in the fall. (In the Common Market?)
Another letter, from Jim Krauss. Their attempt to hit PHLOUNDER
into the Gamette (I believe that was it) line didn't work out. They are
not looking at anything until the Gamette line is set up. They
are thinking of outdoor games for 1971. (Not sure if I have this exactly
right.)
Felicia will be writing to Bill Caruson and will ask him about
EXECUTIVE DECISION.
Another client, a sculptor, has a lot of games to show her, next
Tuesday I believe. He showed them to a company, CISCO (or
something like that) which wants to get into the game business. They
liked some of his games, but he decided to try to get them with
an established company. So he contacted Felicia.
Called Stan Harris. Not in and he called back. TAM-BIT, TAKE FIVE, and
SNAFU sold only 60 each so far. The "House of Games"
games are not ready yet, which he thinks might account
for some orders not being placed. He also said that
the Toy Fair was not good this year and their other
items did worse than usual. He still thinks there is a
chance of selling 25,000 of each title this year.
He is pretty sure that AIRLINE has been completely
costed out but they are waiting to see how the rest of
the games are going. He wouldn't blame me if I think
I can place it elsewhere. I suggested taking back
my model if they are finished with it. He'll check on
it and call me at the office on the best way to get
it back to me.
Called Mickey Mackey. She remembered meeting me at the "M.B." show-
