SUNDAY 26 APRIL
Fourth Sunday after Easter 1970 116th day - 249 days to come
Dale read the rules, new ones, of MONAD and had no trouble
following them. Wrote a letter to Jim Krauss about
the rules.
Tried again to call John Anderson (KING HAMLET). Still no answer.
(cont. from 5/19) [5/19]
"Dynasty International" - DYNASTY. Spoke to Paul C. Huang, the inventor, and another
fellow whose name I didn't get. They remembered getting my
letter but didn't answer because they didn't want to be known
as a war game. I told them that my column was on non-
war games. They said they'd think about whether they want to
be written.
I said that I'd like to buy a copy, but would like to get it
at wholesale. The other fellow said he'd send me one as soon
as they get in a new supply. I said I'd gladly pay for one. He
said they gave out so many that one more wouldn't make
any difference, even if they don't want me to do a review.
(See Catalog - pg. 245.0
"Stellador" - Passed by and recognized Zena Gelman who I spoke
to at the International Toy Fair. She gave me a copy of
MEM (altho I already have one). She asked if I could
get in a review for it; they need all the help they can get, now.
I said I'd try to get it in, tying the solitaire version to my
column on solitaire. She also still wants my autograph on her
copy of AGOG. Told her I'd send her a signed lable when I send
her a copy of the review.
Marge Naramore - Felicia knows her and she suggested that I
stop by and remind her to send me SMOG and DIRTY WATER.
Did it, but Marge was rather busy.
In the same booth spoke to { Daniel Klein, GROUPTHERAPY Associates, 98 Riverside Drive (Apt. 14H)
He was interested in S & T and would like to see a copy.
Promised to send him one.
"Stellador" (cont.) - Zena gave me a repro of a letter
from Anatol W. Holt giving examples of MEM play,
both solitaire and for 2.
Met Keith Tuggle and here for supper. Discussed EXECUTIVE DECISION
and the number of components req'd.
Showed him FREE FORM and he liked it. Took the rough
model and said that they'd give it a preliminary check
before having me send a final model.
When he saw my game shelves he offered to send me a
supply of inside boxes from the bookshelf games so
