MONDAY 6 APRIL
1970 96th day - 269 days to come
Jerry D'Arcey called as soon as I got to the office. He was
leaving for Hartford where someone from M.B. was bringing
him GRAVITY GOLF and CHIMP-CHAMP. Both were rejected. They
liked the latter but have something better.
From MB he is going to Parker to talk about COMMODITY. He
is pretty sure they will take it. If not Samsonite is very
anxious to have it. Jerry thinks it is loads of fun.
He is thinking of showing CHIMP-CHAMP to Ideal and I gave
him Jules Cooper's name.
He may be back in town tomorrow. If so he will call me
and try to visit us.
Frank Thibault hasn't sold anything further but has some
5 ideas close to completion.
Felicia called. An inventor from Syracuse called. He contacted M.B.
and they told him they weren't looking at submittions by
amateurs. They suggested his seeing an agent and said
that Felicia was the most hep.
Felicia wrote to Jim Goldsberry about Impact on
THE RIGHT CONNECTION rules. She used this as an opportunity
to say how highly Impact thought of me.
DOWNFALL came from Whitman. On the face of it it doesn't seem
too strategic.
Rcd. very nice letter from Jim Krauss. They are quite in-
terested in SEARCH. VENTURE is selling best of the card line.
Can I come up with a card stock market GAME? He will
get the MONAD rules revision to me. When the new
"GAMETTE" line comes out he will send me samples.
Answered him. Thanked him for the copies of MONAD and
VENTURE. Told him I think I can come up with a card
stock market GAME. Also asked if he'd be interested in two
other subjects.
Wrote a thank you letter to Frank Armbruster. Told him I
had an ACQUIRE game for him.
The registered letters for THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS and WINDOW PAINS
were delivered.
In the conversation with Jerry D'Arcey he mentioned that he takes
all his royalties as capital gains, and also takes off all his expenses
first. Later when I spoke to Felicia she said she knew that
Bruno counted his SCRABBLE royalties as capital gains. When she
sees her accountant she'll ask him about it.
