FRIDAY 27 MARCH
Good Friday 1970 86th day - 279 days to come
Rcd. THE GAMESLETTER - Vol. 6, No. 20 (Dated Feb., 1970). It had a number
of enclosures including a roster of members. In the review of
S & T (No. 19) he says "A very handsome issue, saved only by the com-
plete game and the Sid Sackson column from being very disappointing
in terms of contents. - - - "
Rcd. a folder from Book of the Month Club offering BRIDGEVERYONE. (Filed
in 1970 Ad Clips.)
Rcd. another letter from "Michael Trombetta". He wrote to Ideal
about CASE OF THE ELUSIVE ASSASSIN but they have none left. He
asked if I could send him a description and the rules so he could
make a set for himself.
Rcd. a card from Warren Buell, on business trip in Korea.
Rcd. a carbon copy of a short note from Bob Engel to Felicia. He will keep
us informed on FOCUS and FLINGERS.
At lunch to Child Craft. Exchanged the pegboard. The only other
one they had was also warped, but not nearly as badly. Also
bought another box of pegs.
At last minute called Claude to see if he wanted to join me at
Skunkworks tonight. Too late.
To Skunkworks. About ten youngsters there, including Al Nofi,
who did the review of AGOG, and Dave Levine, who was the most
helpful in finding me the test-series material I needed. He
offered to teach me LENSMAN. Told him that as soon as I get
a little time we'll meet there some day other than a Friday.
Jim left me repro's of my column on VECTOR, QUADS, & LENSMAN.
Also a check for $10. Tried to call him later to tell him
I didn't want the money but couldn't get him, either busy or
no answer. Took the following test-series games:-
FLYING FORTRESS (The complete game.) This replaces LUFTWAFFE.
TACTICAL GAME 3 (The complete game.)
1918 (Board, rules, and uncut pieces.)
1914 (REVISION) (Rules and uncut pieces.)
NORMANDY }
DEPLOYMENT } Cut pieces.
ITALY }
BARBAROSSA }
TANNENBURG }
LIEPZIG } Uncut pieces.
BARBAROSSA }
LUFTWAFFE }
Mailed the contract severence form back to Ideal and the
personal letter to Jules Cooper. (On CASE OF THE ELUSIVE ASSASSIN).
(Held them till now because of mail strike.
