THURSDAY 12 MARCH 1970
71st day - 294 days to come
Rcd. some bibliographies from Frank Armbruster. It is the same
material that Mike Abrams sent to me.
Picked up ANOTHER at the Post Office. It was in good shape.
(cont. from 3/13) [3/13]
and if he comes up with something good he certainly should
get in a direct cut. (This is all rather vague but it all has
to be spelled out in detail. And of course it is most important
that we all trust each other.)
Phil said that he was pretty much turned off by war games.
Phil spoke to the Salesman at Renwal and the only games that
are moving are ULCERS, RAT RACE, and CUBE FUZION a little.
The $2 games don't seem to fit anywhere. Probably they'll
sell the 5000 of each that they started with, but it is doubtful
if it will go any further.
He asked me about Toy Fair and I told him I'd give him my
extra copy of TOYS AND NOVELTIES.
Rcd. the Jan. - Feb. issue of S & T. had two complete
games : - BASTOGNE and ANZIO BEACH HEAD.
Jim also sent a repro of a letter to Tom Shaw in
which, among other things, he suggested that Tom send me
a promotional subscription to THE GENERAL.
called Jim and discussed my column. It's O.K. if I finish
it up next weekend.
I mentioned that Phil said that he was turned off on
war games Jim said that Phil always wants to have his
way and I gathered that there was some friction between
them. Jim wants Bob Reiss to market some of his war
games and Phil, he thinks, is stalling about bringing
them to Reiss. Jim told Phil that he'd bring them himself.
