Groundhog Day
Purification B. V. Mary 33rd day - 332 days to come
Very nice thank you letter from Mary Hilt for AGOG.
Rcd. the Feb. 1970 IDEAS NEWSLETTER. In the "Recommends"
section mentioned AGOG.
[crossout]
Rcd. a sample copy of the Dec. 1969 SPARTAN. Fairly at-
tractively done, but purely wargames. (At present I
won't subscribe.)
Armin Speer (of QUADS) called. Wanted to know if the S & T
column was out yet. Told him I'd send him a copy as soon
as it was.
He was approached by John Geiger about getting to-
gether. Had a short talk but nothing definite yet.
Rcd. a refund of $5.19 from Hamleys because of
SHERLOCK HOLMES being out of stock.
Read all the material from Phil Cohen (Rcd. last year). In his
letter he mentioned SHOTI like variation. Also gave rules for
card games - SPADES and ZILCH. Also another wild CHESS
variant with a letter on it from Daniel Baisden, (which I copied
so that I could return it to him.)
Sent sheets with rules for the following: [all titles listed are bracketed as " CHESS variants"]

THE BANK OF SCOTLAND (MODERN BRANCH)
SCOTTISH MODERN
