Thursday 29 January 1970
29th day - 336 days to come
TOYS & NOVELTIES came. Shackman had an ad for TROLLEY, a
reproduction of an early 1900 game. Also a TRAIN GAME
which will soon be available.
Went to Shackman and asked to see Mr. Jacoby, who had
just left. Spoke to Jim Lillemoe (I believe that's the spelling)
and showed him AGOG. He'll tell Mr. Jacoby about it. He asked
if I had games that could be produced. Said "yes." Mr. Jacoby
may contact me. Jim said he'd probably buy AGOG since it
has a lot of 2 hand games he could play with his wife.
In T & N Shackman had a picture of MAGNA WORD GAME.
In new products VECTOR is shown. Also a $30 TIC TAC TOE.
Gave a copy of AGOG to the fellow Dana had an accident with.
Rcd. a nice thank you letter from Bob Engel for the copy of
AGOG I sent him. Said he'd see me at Toy Fair.
Rcd. a card from NAMO, Inc. Their "7 Adult Games
(SENSITIVITY, ODD PIECES, etc.) are held up at the printers
for a number weeks. I can get a refund if I don't want to
wait, by writing.
(cont. from 1/30) [1/30]
those immediately before it. Duly the [crossout] player/
side winning the last trick scores. If the last one
but not the preceeding is won each trick won counts 100
points. If the last 2 are won each trick won counts
200 points; last 3-300 points; etc.
Play a set number of rounds. If three play and
the 2 players win each scores the full number of points.
KOLLY. A game for 2 using the HIGH DECK. One player
shuffles and offers the deck for cutting. The house cut
is noted and the cards are reshuffled and then dealt
[drawing of boxes with numbers. Row 1: 1, 2, 4, 7; row 2: 3, 5, etc.; row 3: 6] out into 8x4 layout in the order shown. The
other 3 houses are removed leaving only the
8 cards of the chosen house in position.
The other player then [illegible crossout] cuts the
reshuffled deck and places the chosen cord
face down before him. The chosen rank is the
card he wants to remain till the last card. The dealer
now removes a card and they alternate removing cards
until either the chosen card is removed by the dealer or it
remains to the end in which latter case the player wins 7 points.
If the card is removed before the players switch positions
and the next hand is worth 14 points. The next -21 points.
Etc., until a player wins and the next hand goes back to 7
points.
The dealer when 4 cards are left on the table can
"declare." If he is able to pick the chosen card he wins
