TUESDAY 23 DECEMBER 1969
357th day - 8 days to come
To Felicia's with GO SEE. Jerry Doughtery there and gave it to him. He ran into a neighbor who works with TWA. They are interested in something to publicize Expo 70, posibly [sic] a game. He, Jerry, will show the GO SEE to this fellow this coming Friday. Felicia said she had a contact with Pan Am in case TWA didn't work out.
Felicia had another appointment and Jerry took me to lunch. I went over the play of GO SEE with him and said that the board could be rearranged to feature Japan more. I asked him about what Felicia had told me about holding up on the Moon Shot GAME. He said this was Dan's project, I asked and he'll have Dan call me.
He asked again whether I'd have TOTALLY ready for the week on Jan. 5th and to kep it more like TROMINO GO in equipment than THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS.
More playing around with hov.-vert, GAME (see 12/16 & 12/3). Think I'll allow each player to remove one single pc. during the game. This can't be used for clearing a line.
Another possibility is to allow removal of three pcs. in a row or column that have the three colors & shapes.
In scoring I think clearing a line should count 3. Scoring 1 for 3 identical pcs. and 2 for 4 identical pcs. is meaningless pretty much because if each player had 18 pcs. those scores would equal out.
Diane Jaust sent an X'Mas card to the family and BB returned one to her.
To Claude's in evening. He gave me a set of CONNECT-A-CARDS, a building set with parts that could be used as game equip't. He also gave me a pc. of checkered vinyl. (Both stored in "Equipment" Box) He also gave me 3 expansion file folders.
Claude game the book supplement to the 11/26/69 NATIONAL CATHOLIC REPORTER. It had AGOG listed as one of 21 gift suggestions.
At Felicia's took home this Astrology game she told me about. It is called THE SIGNS ARE 12 and has the following subgames: WHO AM I?, KNOW THYSELF, ASTROLOGICAL PARTNERS, ASTROLOGICAL CHARADES, CELEBRITY LISTING, AND ASTROLOGICAL FUTURES.
They are not really games and mainly are concerned with acting out personality traits are listed under the various signs.
At Claude's he showed me a puzzle he calls GENIUS BLOCKS. There are five cubes with numbers as
