TUESDAY 16 DECEMBER 1969
350th - 15 days to come
Felicia called. She wants to have an "open house" at her office during Toy Fair. Would like to give out copies of my book. Asked if I could get her copies wholesale. Also whether I'd like to be there. We'll talk about it.
Called Jules Cooper. He seemed distant and then told me that if he wasn't a friend he would send me a nasty letter because I left out the most important group of games, the 3-D plastic games. We discussed it and I said that I considered them for children. He said that once he was a "purist" like me, but now he enjoys a game of BATTLING TOPS.
I asked when I can use CASE OF THE ELUSIVE ASSASSIN, and also when I can get a copy of BEWILDER. He told me to call at the end of the week.
Lou Wetzel called. Al Rubbens was there and is willing to sell the Renwal games in Canada, but since there is another cut Lou asked if I'd be willing to take 2'2% royalties for games sold in Canada thru House of Games. I said O.K. Loud asked "Are you happy?" I said yes, but I'm looking forward to seeing TAM-BIT and TAKE FIVE. He said soon.
Rcd. a letter from Peter T. Prunka
179 India Street
Brooklyn, N.Y. 11222
He is interested in joining N.Y.G.A. Wrote about PAPER BOXING and LAST WORD. He bought AGOG.
Made repros of TROMINO GO & CONNECTIONS (2 copies). Also of my letter to Jim Rockwell to send to Tom Atwater.
Finished the copyright material on the two games as specified by Jerry yesterday.
Doing a little playing around with the GAME idea of 12/3.
Scored one point for each piece taken, 1 for getting 3 identical pcs, and 3 for getting 4 identical, and 2 for completing a row or column. Seems to work pretty well. the big problem is whether to allow taking a single piece or not.
