SATURDAY 13 DECEMBER 1969
347th day - 18 days to come
Rcd. letters from: -
Tom Shaw - glad I still have high regard for A.H. games. [illegible] C&O/B&O is doing well. Will send me copies of their two GAME s when they come out in the spring. Didn't say anything about THE GENERAL.
Keith Tuggle - thanking me for AGOG.
F. Daniel - A form letter with a note. It will take them ages to get thru AGOG, they can't get past PAKS - they like it so much. Anxious to hear my opinion of ANAGO.
Made a rough set of discs for my new arrangement for THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS. Played THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS the game with BB. First player starts with the pointer on the center disc (putting a marker on it) then lines up as many as he can in line with it, of that color. The next player moved the marker to the next disc along the color line but onto the pointer of that disc. If of the same color as the line, move to next disc.
Score 1 point for each disc in the line. Double, or 18, for lining up all 9, but without a loop. A continuous loop scores 3x the number of disc. 100 points are game, except that players have to have the same number of turns.
Seems to be pretty good.
Orange seems to be pretty easy to solve as a puzzle.
Went to the ORT bazaar with BB, Edith, and Lilian Barasch. bought some pink & some yellow contact. Also 8 boxes of 100 chips each. Supposed to be 50 [cents] each but Edith got them for $3.00.
At Hartsdale - the Royal Press Store bought COMPUT-A-TUTOR, for $6.95. (First saw it advertised in Sunday Times.
Arthur called. He [illegible] and Arthur Wald are working on another BRIDGE type game with the HIGH DECK. No further letters on POWER. They are putting an ad in the Columbia Newspaper. (Columbia University)
Showed BB the the ODD SOLITAIRE. She couldn't solve it.
