TUESDAY 9 DECEMBER 1969
343rd day - 22 days to come
Brian Blake called. He has Lorayne's book. He brought it to the office
after work. I said that in a few weeks I'd have something roughed
out and will have he and John here for supper and to try it.
Red, a letter from Haar. He rcd. AGOG and likes it. Apparently he has
gone thru it and only found some very minor points, which makes
me happy.
Penny McMullen of NEWSDAY called. Her editor wanted her to get a
definition of inductive reasoning. She also wanted more info on
VENTURE, which she intends to include. She said she intended to buy
copies of all my games. I told her she certainly could get them
from 3M, but she said that they were not permitted to accept gifts like
that.
Morris Berdick called. MCCA MCCALLS had an ad for 3M. VENTURE and MONAD are shown & ACQUIRE is mentioned. He'll save the magazine for me.
Looked at Dana's copies of the Nov. & Dec, PLAYBOY Magazine.
Nov. had an ad for a book PLAYBOY'S PARTY GAMES - $.95. Can be ordered and will also be for sale in bookstores.
Dec. had a section on gifts. Had small pictures of VENTURE, FOIL
& TRYCE, also PROBE, and possibly a few more.
Playing around with the beg games, INTERPLAY plays pretty close
to the end and I wouldn't take away more than 7 or 8.
ODD OR EVEN ends much sooner 24 is plenty.
Diane Jaust called. Ruth Jacobs taping on for tomorrow. No date
set since she is quite busy. In evening sent her two copies of the
NFFF THE GAMESLETTER review of AGOG. Made 6 repros at work
during day.
(Cont from 12/8) [12/12]
Charles Wibel of the "Game of the Month Club" (N.J.) called at the
office. Armin Speer (see 12/10) told him about me and he wants to
talk to me about S & T. We'll meet for lunch on 12/19. He'll come
to the office to pick me up.
