MONDAY 8 DECEMBER 1969
342nd day - 23 days to come
---
Diane called. Not feeling well, postponed date indefinitely. She confirm
the WEVD date for Wednesday & get back to me.
Called Fabio and went there at 5:30. During day wrote
another intro for KNIGHT CHASE. Fabio read both and de-
cided on the one I did yesterday. He'll also have the
reference to Russian Aristocrat removed from the jacket &
the preface. The printing of the 3000 is completed and no
further printings are now scheduled.
Added a copy of the new intro to my letter to Alex
before mailing it.
Felicia called. A friend who bought several copies of AGOG at
Doubledays had to wait while they brought up additional copies.
The one before her was also buying it.
While with Fabio I asked who I should contact about
10 more copies of AGOG. He left a note for Fay
Hertog to take care of it.
Letter from Will Erickson thanking me for AGOG.
Two letters from Jim Rockwell, one saying that my corrections
were rcd. & taken care of. The other aske if I could cut down
on the number of pegs in INTERPLAY & ODD OR EVEN.They
cost a penny each.
(cont. from 12/12) [12/12]
BB and I played THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS using the new
ideas I got last night. Still N.G. Then I thought
of a player starting at the pointer of the last at the
center (at the beginning) and then trying turni
connecting the adjacent disc in that color and so on
as far as he can go. Score 1 point for each disc
connected, or 5 points each if a loop is formed. The
next player starts with the last disc in the chain,
with that pointer. In case of a continuous chain the
disc next to the previous starting disc is used if of
a different color. If not the next, etc. In case a
player is started at the same disc two times in
a row he may, if he wishes, turn that disc to a new
position before starting. Tried it a little with BB and it
seems much better.
called Claude. Nothing specific about games, except that the name of the
publication that had a mention of AGOG was
THE NATIONAL CATHOLIC REPORTER.Claude is saving it for me.
(cont. on 12/9)
