SUNDAY 19 OCTOBER 1969
Twentieth Sunday after Trinity
292nd day - 73 days to come
Wrote a letterto Fabio sending him the Author's Alteration
bill and my story.
Sent my bill for the 20 books to Sally as she suggested
so that she can arrange to have it taken from my future
royalties. Thanked her for the catalog and the picture of the
book.
Looked at my rules for TREASURE HUNT and the game
looked good. Called Fay to check on the wording of the
two letters and wrote them later. Discussed changes
in the rules so that the goal of reaching Monte Carlo and
then getting back first is emphased or rather the wording
of the presentation. I think she should do it, but I said
I'd do some thinking on it.
Realized that the prints of the book that Martin Gardner
has will prove that LINES OF ACTION was impossible
to follow before I changed back to my original location
of the disgrams. Called him to ask him to hold on to them.
They were in the wastebasket but he took them out.
He received two copies from Scien of A GAMUT OF GAMES
from Scientific American. (Later I realized that Diane
didn't have his home address and must have sent them
there.) Martin offered to mail the prints to me but
I said that I was in no hurry and would pick
them up when I bring BLUE LINE HOCKEY for his boys.
Ordered ASSASSIN! and GALACTIC DIPLOMACY.
Sunday Times had a Hoffritz ad for GOLF DICE. Magazine
section had a full page ad for "Game of the Month Club" -
Berkely Heights, N.J.
