SUNDAY 5 OCTOBER 1969
Eighteenth Sunday afteer Trinity
278th day - 87 days to come
BB & I played several games of COUNTERPOINT. I introduced the following start. The first player chooses two colors, but does not move. Then
the game starts.
We ran into the problem of its being too easy to set up a
repeating situation. Corrected it by prohibiting a player found using
the same two colors in the move following a score. Then the game
was great.
New York Times had ad for GROUP THERAPY.
Sent $3.50 for a year's subscription to PANZERFAUST Magazine -
Also asked if any back numbers were available.
Wrote to Don Miller of NFFF asking about the DIPLOMACY
'zines I ordered. 8/17.
Wrote to "House of Games" in Canada, asking about ULCERS.
Ordered 12 patents, including the one on the edible sliding
block puzzle for Martin Gardner.
Colored in some more cards for TRIAD.
(cont. from 10/6)[10/9]
in addition to ALL-PRO FOOTBALL which I already
have there is ALL-PRO BASKETBALL, ALL-PRO BASEBALL,
and ALL-PRO HOCKEY. (I'll have to contact Jules Cooper
about giving him a copy of A GAMUT OF GAMES and getting
the sports games from him.)
