Called Elson at Hasbro again, with same results as yesterday.
Felicia called. She said her lawyer reports that the
3M contract on foreign licensing is fine. Arranged to
go there tomorrow to sign them.
I called Fabio. He said that the one in charge of subsidiary rights
reports that the Science Book of the Month Club
would almost certainly be taking A GAMUT OF GAMES and
that Martin Gardner was in on the negotiations. I told Fabio
I'd check with Martin about it.
Called Martin. He hadn't spoken to Scott about my book but
we both figured that his review on the jacket is what
the man at Random House was talking about. Martin will
call Scott tomorrow & I'll call tomorrow night.
The Sept. PLAYTHINGS came with the small piece
on MERGERS. It is not the Universal Game which is
an imitation of ACQUIRE.
Claude stopped at my office and gave me another copy
of EGO, this time with a complete set of cards.
