THURSDAY 18 SEPTEMBER
1969 261st day - 104 days to come
To 200 Fifth Ave. Stopped at M.B. for a moment to get list
price of SWAHILI - $4. To Cadaco & Dan Monahan gave me
DECISIONS, DECISIONS and TUMBLE LOGS. Spoke to him about Tony
D'Ambra's POKER DICE. The thing they liked best was the name
(which surprises me - the set of 5 special card dice use the same
name). I mentioned that the odds need cleaning up. He answered
that Chicago takes care of that. WHEEL & DEAL is not doing
very well. The only games of theirs that do well are TRIPOLEY,
the sports games, and some children's games. (The list price of
"Decisions, Decisions" is $4.)
To G.& R. List price of MEM is $6. The only new game
is CREDIT CARD. It is a race game and (I believe) when
certain penalty spaces are landing on a credit card, which are
dealt out at the beginning, can be used. Different cards for
different spaces. (Very rough idea.)
To Felicia's.
Letter from X. They rcd. THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS and will get
to evaluating it soon. They returned their model of Connor's
RUSTLERS or CAPTURE THE CARGO. They couldn't find his orig-
inal model and rules, but think that theirs is better.
Felicia was throwing out a game called MILLION DOLLAR GAME.
I remembered seeing it, but couldn't remember any of the details.
Took home the rules but found that I had a set filed in
the "Misc. Game" Folder.
Took home the following of my game models (all that
Felicia had at the office):-
THESE UNITED STATES
GO SEE - A GLOBAL HOLIDAY
MATCHED SET
INVASION
WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU
HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME
Also took back the set of TOTALLY- -. I made for Alice and
2 of Claude's original BIG FUNERAL games.
Called Claude during day. He has an idea for an action GAME.
Children put a flat bed truck on their head and then,
using a mirror, can place as many pieces of doll's furniture
on the truck as they wish. The more pieces they can
carry the further they can move on a path, but if any
fall off they can't move at all.
Marv Kempler (who we know from P.S. 121) was over here
with his son Harvey. The latter has ACQUIRE, BAZAAR,
and FOCUS in his collection. He has a lot more but they
sound as if the bulk of them are TV games, etc.
