WEDNESDAY 10 SEPTEMBER
1969 253rd day - 112 days to come
Tom Atwater called. He had a letter from Jim Rockwell. They
sent a contract for Alex' games of ISHIDŌ and CASTILLE,
also another repro of the same one for me to look at and
note up if I want changes. Jim said that since Tom
thinks that TEMPO is a good game he is going to take
it, as well as INTERPLAY and ODD OR EVEN. Also he is
going to have all of them ready for the [crossed out] Stationery
Show in 1970. There is a $250 closing fee for each game.
Called Pierce Promotions & spoke to Jack Davis. My letter didn't
come yet. I voiced concern about their getting my 4
games to PACE Magazine in time for Vibert's deadline.
He'll call me as soon as my letter arrives.
When I got together with Claude he gave me a copy of
EGO. It is really a non-game. (When a checked at
home I found that 3 cards were missing.
Claude saw an Italian book on card games at Hopaling's
on 42nd St. Went there with him and bought it for $3.50.
GIOCHI DI CARTE-VOLUME PRIMO. Nothing really new, but at-
tractively done & illustrated. Also it is the first volume of
what is probably a 2 volume set.
Rcd. a letter from Bill Caruson. Told me to keep the extra
set of FEUDAL & BLUE LINE HOCKEY. Would like to see the
copy of STRATEGY & TACTICS. They are still wondering
how to publish EXECUTIVE DECISION.
Rcd. a letter from A.H. Redpath of 3M concerning the pos-
sibility of sublicensing a European Co. to manufacture
ACQUIRE and BAZAAR.
BB gave me a thank you letter from Jerry D'Arcey which ar-
rived several days ago.
After work called Martin Gardner. He'll be glad to
add TEMPO, INTERPLAY, and ODD OR EVEN to TAKE 5 and
TAM-BIT as games of mine that will be coming out next
year. Said it would be more impressive.
