SATURDAY 16 AUGUST 1969
Bennington Battle Day (Vt.)
228th day - 137 days to come
On way to work met Jim Dunnigan. He gave me a rough
copy of the new issue of S & T. It is a little rough, but
adequate.
We discussed my next column. I'll do some reviews.
He suggested that I write to Jared Johnson, using S & T
stationery.
The president of Allstate doesn't want to be unfair to
Jim and throw him out, though actually Jim wants out.
Called Arthur in evening & got Wald.
They called Pelham Brown during week (in California) and he
said that he was sending two copies of the Sept. PACE
magazine to me (one for Claude).
He sent them the addresses of 17 people who wrote in
about POWER, but not their letters. They will send out
an offset set of rules to each. They will also send me
one.
They are thinking of publishing a newsletter called "Power".
Arthur asked Pelham Burn if he had told anyone from
STROBE Magazine about POWER. Pelham had never heard of the magazine.
Pelham Burn sent me a copy of one of the pictures he took
of me when he was here.
Called Claude and spoke to Anne. Made date for 8/27.
