THURSDAY 12 JUNE 1969
163rd day - 202 days to come
Called Felicia to tell her that the check from 3M came.
She told me that the contract for RED LETTER came. I'll go tomorrow to
sign it.
Bill Burke (?) of MB likes PITFALL & TOTTER. He is sending Jim
Connor to take a look at CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE
Someone is sending her a TWISTER imitation, but more complicated (something to do with getting into socks-?), Bill Burke wants to look at it
also.. The same Canadian inventer who sent DYNAMITE sent her the rules of another he calls CUBITS. (At the stationery show saw a SOMA
imitation called CUBIT) She read me the rules. There are 32 cubes
with arrows on the faces (different numbers, undoubtedly. These are
placed in a special board of 6x6 spaces, with the corners empty. The
board is then shaken so that the arrows come up at random.
The cubes are then removed as in SOLITAIRE by jumping, but
only in the direction of the arrows, Felicia asked if she should send
for the model; I said yes, it could be a very salable gimmick.
She had a carbon of a letter from Bob Claude saying he rcd. my
new rules for DIGIT and would try them out.
Lew Behan, the inventer of CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE, called me and asked about my difficulty with the rules. Tried to communicate but
didn't get too far on the phone, suggested that we get together with Felicia
and thrash it out.
Felicia called me again to check whithen Behan had called me.
She also wanted to know if Clande knew whether Campaign was
still in business. She might be able to sell WATCH for him.
Called Barbara & she called me back. Dummy conference next Monday.
Letters from: Bennington Museum. Repros of rules for ATTACK.
Bob Claude - about DIGIT, as Felicia read to me.
Will Erickson - I have to mention each game and the percentage
so that the agent's fee can be sent directly to I-S.
Called Felicia and arranged to go there tomorrow at lunch time.
Called Stan Harris. The art work is ready on TAM-BIT. In
Lubow would like some kind of theme for the tiles into SEQUENCE, rather then just numbers, which I think is a good idea. He would also like to reduce it to a game for a maximum of 4 to save money on the tiles. This I don't agree to.
Stan suggested getting together with Stan, me, Lew, and Irv.
Probably next Monday evening, stan will call me tomorrow.
Some more material came from Don Miller's NFFF bureau.
