WEDNESDAY 28 MAY
Ember Day 1969 148th day - 217 days to come
Barbara sent a messenger with the author's galley of A GAMUT OF GAMES.
Then another with the sheet of proof reading marks. Spoke to her
and she said, among other things, that I was allowed a considerable
number of Author's Alterations without charge.
Decided to change the name FREE FOR ALL to SEQUENCE.
Felicia called. See asked me if I had seen a game EGO, EGO
at the Stationery Show. I hadn't. Henry Swarze (spelling?) is the one
who did EGO for Oggi and was upset about this other which (I
think) Felicia saw.
Told her about Renwal wanting FREE FOR ALL. I'll pick it up
next Monday. She has some others for me to look at then. I'll also
bring her the rules of DANGER STRAITS (ran off repros).
She said that it is now common knowledge that Renwal was now in the
game business and sometimes she might want to show them something.
I told her that Stan Harris was the man to contact and then they
would probably show it to me after looking at it. She has no present
plans for showing them anything.
Felicia spoke to Will about 3M sending the agent's fee directly to her.
It's O.K. with them but they need a letter with my permission. I said I'd
get one out to him.
At 23rd St. bought the March & April SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN Magazine.
I am mentioned in the April issue.
Claude called to tell me that next Sunday on TV "The 21st Century"
would be on simulation games. It is a rerun that I already saw. Not
much of interest for me.
Arthur called with the final wording he wants in his introduction. Came
to an agreement on it.
Played THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS with Dale & Joe using the ideas of yesterday.
Worked good.
The April Sci. Am. also had the word GAME by Anatole
Holt. It is a variation of JOTTO.
