FRIDAY 23 MAY
Shebuoth--Feast of Weeks 1969 143rd day - 222 days to come
At Adler's Foreign Book Service bought:
KNAUR'S SPIELBUCH & EUGEN OKER'S SPIELWIESE (this
mentions that ACQUIRE is one of the best game he knows.
Also includes WHAT'S THAT ON MY HEAD?)
Rcd. a letter from aco. He likes FITTING & PROPER
just as well but is starting with TOTALLY--, since it
is more work to set up.
Rcd. a form letter from STRATEGY & TACTICS announcing
the dropping of all side activities.
Got the new edition of EQUATIONS from Claude. Paid him
$3.50 for this and also for copies of ARENA and KRYPTO
which he kept. Also took a copy of the [crossed out]
GO MONTHLY REVIEW.
Played Claude's MANIPULATION. He made a revision in
situation 2. Also used a total of $500,000. I won.
(Revisions added to the sheet in the board game folder.)
BB called up ESQUIRE magazine. They will sign the (c)
assignment form.
At Claude's showed them THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS. Mary
Ellen did the puzzle very easily. Others couldn't. Played
a 4-hand game but I found the moving around of the
dial testing each position very nervewracking. Also it was im-
possible to remember all the time whether, at the end of a
turn, the dial had actually been moved, as required by the
rules.
Claude signed a release for LINES OF ACTION.
