THURSDAY 15 MAY
Ascension Day 1969 135th day - 230 days to come
Returned the rules for COMBAT PATROL & INTRIGUE to Felicia
on the way to work.
Called Atwater in Concord. Not in. Left word for him
to call me tomorrow.
Felicia called. Letter from Arnold Shapiro. They are sending out
requests for renewal of the contracts that are now 2
years old.
More discussion about the record form. She'll show me
what she'd like to have when we get together.
She hinted that there are a lot of companies moving
into games. She heard from another source that Renwal
is moving into games, but doesn't intend to submit any
for the present.
Met the writer from PACE magazine (Henry Pelham Burn) and took him home for
supper. He said that ACQUIRE was a game that he really
enjoyed and, apparantly, didn't know that it was mine.
Took pictures of me working on a layout for CLOSED CIRCUIT.
When he asked me about a really long game I told him
about POWER. He was interested in it, the HIGH DECK,
and the Amberstones.
He said that the article on space would be done by
someone else and would include games only incidentally.
He would like to do an article on NYGA soon.
Someone else interviewed Frank Thibault.
Phil Orbanes called. He was going to call Ceyce and have him
call me, if he was in. Didn't get the call.
Gave Burn a FOCUS booklet and told him I'd have 3M
send him my games.
The article will be in the August edition and
he'll send me two copies.
(cont. from 5/17) [5/17]
Making all words in 3 tosses is small slam - scores
25. Play an agreed number of rounds or to a set
score. (200 to 300 points recommended.)
-Finished a letter to Lech Pijanowski. Sent him some
used stamps & repros of WOLF-SCHACH.
