FRIDAY 9 MAY
1969 129th day - 236 days to come
Dale was supposed to bring the copyright material to Barbara Francis
but wasn't feeling well and didn't go.
Felicia called
Played DIGIT with BB with the rule that the player reaching
the goal turned over the 3-minute timer and the other
player(s) then can also arrive at solutions.
The problem developed as to which cards to discard.
Decided to discard those of the player who turned the timer.
The other players who reach the goal place their hand
card on the table.
Worked pretty good, but a little messy. Thought of
limiting the score of the following players to only the
ammount of the goal, times bonuses if any. The first
goal reacher gets the objectiv goal value plus 5 points
per card.
The contract for SPELLBINDER came. It was written at
4%. They included an advance on royalties of $250 instead
of the $125 each closing fee they gave on previous two
contracts. Called Felicia to tell her that the 4% was
not changed.
(cont. from 5/10) [5/14]
None of these cards are discarded and the player keeps his
hand card for the next round.
Played Claude's game MANIPULATION. There is a board
with 25 numbered spaces. There [crossed out] are 4 markers
of different colors. The positioning of these four
markers in the numbered spaces sets up one of 24
different "situations." Each situation gives a different
set of values for 4 stocks. (Claude has the stocks corres-
pond to the colors of the markers but it would be pre-
ferable not to do this.) A player may eiter buy or
sell as many shar At the beginning of his turn a
player says which color marker he will move and
then throws 1 die and moves in an ascending order
the number thrown. If land on an occuppied space move
to next empty one. After this the player may pass,
buy 1 or more shares in one company, or sell share(s)
in one company. He may not buy or sell in same
turn. (See sheet in "Board Game" folder for values
and other information.)
Gave Dale a copy of BAZAAR to bring as a present for
staying overnight at a girl friend
