MONDAY 5 MAY 1969
125th day - 240 days to come
Sent the rules of THE VERBAL GAME to Claude.
Rcd. another letter from Aco. still working on TOTALLY-- still no mention of
FITTING & PROPER.
Had some further ideas for DIGIT. Play as in SPEED DIGIT
except that instead of saying "digit" the first player turns
over a 3 minute timer and the other players have this time
to come up with a solution. Each scores for their reaching of
the goal. Another idea might be to have the players write
their solutions.
Possibly 4 cards may not be enough cards when 2, or
even 3, play SPEED DIGIT. I'll have to try 5 with 3 players
and 6 with 2 players.
Called Barbara Francis during day. I'm to get the copyright
material I have to her to this week and she'll
see what more is needed. She'll check a bent my $500.
Chris Wagner supposed to visit, but his car broke down,
and he called BB with apologies.
I called him and discussed a number of points.
I'll send him the column. He and the artist will disuss
names for the column which can have the art work tied
in. He'll contact me before making a final decision.
I asked about a "Press Card". He'll send me a letter on
official stationery.
I asked him about Don Miller's game material. He said
I'm on the mailing list to get anything new, although there
may be some back issue of THE GAMESMAN that I didn't
get,. (There are.)
He is going to send me representative samples of all the
magazines he has copies of. Then I can see which I want
to subscribe to and which I want to look at back numbers.
Possibly I will avive up there to check thru his files.
He will send me a copy of HYPER-SPACE as soon as he
gets another one, He will send me the missing copy of
S&T and also the "Helen of Toy" games he has.
He will check with Ton Shaw of Avalon Hill when he will
be wanting to see my games.
Called Claude. Not feeling well. He is not to anxious
to work on a game for Oggi because he thinks they are biting off
more than they can chew.
Bill says they are not quite satisfied
