FRIDAY 2 MAY 1969
122nd day - 243 days to come
Reading more copies of S & T on subway.
Made reproductions of the rest of Haar Hoolim's letter giving me
permission to use THREE MUSKETEERS.
LE GUIDE MARABOUT DES JEUX DE SOCIÉTÉ arrived. Not much new.
There is a variation of JOTTO for 4 to 12 players using words
of different lengths, that is the one who chooses the word in
each round sets the length by the word he chooses.
Red a letter from "Information Resources, Inc." Tom Atwater told them I
had a classification system for games. They are trying to set up
a classification system for simulation games and would like to
look at my system.
Made another set of cards for playing DIGIT.
(cont. from 5/3) [5/21]
I asked him what he thought about a space GAME. They
haven't been too enthousiastic about one but would be
interested in seeing something different.
They would be interested in a GAME based on Astrology
since everybody has one.
Milton Bradley :- TEE PARTY- Golf game. Relationship between
a card chosen by the player hitting and a color chosen by
the opponent gives the number of strokes. (Rough idea.)
(Picture in 1969 Ad Clips).
GRADUAL DESPAIR, ONE WAY PUZZLE, ESCAPE : - Puzzles, (Pictures in 1969 Ad Clips).
Pacific Game Co. : - SPACE CHESS: - another variation played
on 3 - 8x8 boards.
PREDICTA: Not a game. A "planchette" fortune telling and
question answering device.
Are-Jay : - NET THE FOX. - each player has one peg and they
move alon from space to space on an irregularly arranged
board, when the fox corners t is cornered the hunter
throws a die. With even he captures it. With odd the fox
excapes two spaces. The hunter then can try again to
corner the fox. One more escape and the fox wins. (Rough idea).
PEG POKER players are dealt 5 cards. In turn they
place a peg in the space representing a card of their
choice. Continue with betting, until each player has
three cands "exposed". Then have final round of betting. For
up to 6 players,.(Rough idea.)
BRIDGEVERYONE have a "Press Kit" in 1969 Ad Clips.
A.L. Hirsch : - STRIP-TAC-TOE Large layout. Players use
clothing for markers, winning winner of a game gets a card
which allows him to use it as one marker in the next game.
