MONDAY 21 APRIL 1969
111th day - 254 days to come
Felicia called a few times about her difficulties in reaching Ed Weber.
Another call about a carbon of a letter to mefrom Bob Claude.
They want another 30 days to test panel ANOTHER. They will be getting to
CINEMA and NOMINATION shortly. Not a word about SPELL BINDER. Felicia asked if I'd like her to answer. Of course. Also had her include that
DIGIT would be coming before May 1. She called me later to read the letter.
Barbara Francis called. It is definite that Random House will be publishing
the book, but she will continue as my editor. We thought about adding
sophisticated games to the reviews, but decided against it.
She sent a messenger to pick up the manuscript.
My copy of Bob Claude's letter came.
Rcd. a letter from Lech with a clipping from a Russian newspaper.
Some more about <u.SQUARE and a mention of a German game
CARTINO.
Rcd. a letter from Heinz Wittenberg of Germany who saw my letter
in Toys & Novelties. He did CONFETTI THE CLOWN and also I
remembered his name from the Renwal games I looked at for Renwal.
Played 4-hand TAM-BIT, BB and I each taking 2 hands.
Dana joined us for 3-hand. It definitely held the interest. Needs a
few more tests to finalize the balance of the 3 types of scoring.
