TUESDAY 25 MARCH
Annunciation B.V. Mary 1969 84th day - 281 days to come
Barbara Francis called. Wanted me to get a legal form from Esquire and
all my correspondants. Said I already had letters from all of them.
She checked with the legal department and it is O.K. to get repros of the
letters.
The salesmen liked the name A GAMUT OF GAMES and want to really
promote the book as a family collection of games. She didn't leave
me much opportunity to fight against the name.
Called Barnard Collier, not in but he called back. The photographer will
come tonight, but not Barnard. He'll call me tomorrow after he sees
the pictures.
The photographer, Mike, came and took quite a few pictures of
me and the 4 3M games and FOCUS. Some triple montages which should
be interesting if they come out. (A very pleasant fellow.)
When I spoke to Barnard I asked him to please not mention my
doing research at Parker's and why. He said "No problem."
Though of an idea for a puzzle. There are a series of cards
(say from 1 to 10) which are shuffled and placed in a row. Object is to
get all the cards in order. Two or more cards which are next to
each other are removed from the array and moved, without changing
their position to either end. Keep count of the number of moves
required to complete.
TUMBLE WORDS came from Kohner Bros.
Rcd. a letter from a letter from A.B. Noriega asking when my book
would come out. Will have to write to him. His letter placed
in "Book" folder.
