MONDAY 10 MARCH
1969 69th day - 296 days to come
The letter I rcd. on 3/6 from Gene Plotnik asked at the end
"What do you think?" called to thank him for the material
he had sent me. He had left the company. Instead I spoke to
Mickey MacKay (a gal) who also met me at the toy fair.
Had a very nice conversation with her. She is having the
following Milton Bradley games sent to me from the factory
and should they should be reaching me in about 2 weeks:-
4 CYTE, HIT THE BEACH, WORD OUT, STUMP, WORD WILD,
STRATEGY POKER, BRIDGE FOR 1, BRIDGE FOR 2, BRIDGE FOR 3.
The other M.B. games we discussed as fitting the scope
of my book were STRATEGO, BATTLE CRY (which I have as
AMERICAN HERITAGE GAME OF THE CIVIL WAR), DOG FIGHT,
RACKO, FINDERS KEEPERS, LIFE, SWAHILI, CROSS UP POKER.
Discussed the game column done by Richard Moon.
She thinks I ought to be able to get a column syndicated
since there is definitely interest in games now. The fol-
lowing are three possibilities in order of likelyhood:-

When I thanked her she said she would be pestering me
to put in material on Milton Bradley.
Working on book diagrams. Dictated letters to Hank Simmons
and Bob Claude and BB typed them. Rewrote the former
after I looked at it.
Chris Wagner called to give me Rod Walker's & Don
Miller's addresses (see 2/28). We decided that he would
have Don Miller send me his Games Letter and bill him,
Chris, against my pay for the column (latter part my
idea). I will write to Rod Walker to ask for his information
on DIPLOMACY variants.
