THURSDAY 6 MARCH
1969 65th day - 300 days to come
Thought of using the ideas I previously had for a game CIRCUIT
as a game and puzzle called CLOSED CIRCUIT. Figured out
how to set it up. When I get a little time I'll work out the
details.
Felicia called. Yest Tuesday she signed 3M forms for CINEMA
and NOMINATION but now has decided that they should be
signed with the firm name. She'll sign others, including one for
ANOTHER and send them to me. I'll complete them and send them
to Bob Claude.
Last week at the M.B. showroom I met Gene Plotnick and a
girl from Joe Wolhandler Associates who do publicity for M.B.
They heard me talking about the background of SWAHILI and
were impressed. Gene said he had information about a game col-
umnist in California and would send me reproductions. Not
having received them, I called today and he said he would
send them right out. Incidentally, last week Gene said
the articles were not very interesting.
(cont. from 3/5) [3/5]
What-cha-ma-call-it. Their new one is TAKE IT OFF in which the
object is to be the first to get rid of your clothes (cards).
The only choice is when to use a "raid" card which can be used
when 1 or more players are "on stage."
The gal there promised to send me the rules of MY SON THE DOCTOR.
Exri International. They had DOTYBLOCKS which are a pastime
rather than a game. They are interested into creating a
game using them and are interested in my helping out. Agreed
that I would get a fraction of [crossed out] a 5% royalty depending
on what fraction I contribute. I took a set and they will con-
tact me. (Sheet is in 1969 Ad clips.)
Wff 'n Proof. Spoke to Ruth Patmore and gave her t she
gave me more material on the games. Asked her if they
took games other than from celebrities or professors. No!
She said that if she had her way they wouldn't have done
TRI-NIM, instead doing things only that tied to a specific
subject. When I came back at the end of the day she gave
me a copy of TRI-NIM.
At Plast-Trix, Classic, Embree, Stancraft, Artco, and
Comon-Tator there were nothing of interest.
To 200 5th. Saw Mr. Kohner and asked him if he looked at
puzzles submitted by outsiders. He said that they did very
poorly with the puzzles. I asked him to send me a copy
of TUMBLE WORDS and he said he would.
