SUNDAY 9 FEBRUARY 1969
Sexagesima
40th day - 325 days to come
Called Arthur. Told him about Jim Dunnigan & also STRATEGY & TACTICS.
Arthur is anxious for to meet Jim & particularly for Wald to do so.
I said in good time.
Wrote a letter to Jerry D'Arcey but didn't get a chance to copy it.
Called Jim Dunnigan. Told him about playing
ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR I and how well it worked. He agrees
that the possibility of attacking with less than
1 to 1 would be a good thing. Discussed alliances (where 2
players ally and win by getting more than the other 3 combined).
I think they should be binding. He thinks that a player
should be allowed to weasel out. Decided to make it optional.
(cont. from 2/10) [3/11]
ORIGINS OF WORLD WAR I. Wants to get together todiscuss it.
I suggested next week so that I could bring the diagrams.
Phil Orbanes called. Will be over tomorrow.
Looked at KRYPTO It is a lot like my idea of 3/9. Also looked
up my notes on an old game of mine (much before KRYPTO)
and it was also similar.
