Monday 27 January 1969
27th day - 338 days to come
Brought EXECUTIVE DECISION to Felicia on way to work.
Made 13 more reproductions of the form letter for game information.
Called the Soucis and spoke to Anne. Claude called me in the even-
ing and had a long talk while I was copying SNAFU on
8x5 index cards. Oggi is costing LOA and seemed a little an-
noyed when he kept calling them. I told Claude I was sending
the form letter to Oggi checking on 50 EASY STEPS TO THE WHITEHOUSE.
PLAYTHINGS came. Nothing.
Copied EGG-HEADS layout on an 8x5 card.
Rcd. a letter from the WFF 'N PROOF publicity director with a
number of articles from magazines.
Called Stan Harris. He is coming tomorrow, but not Irv Lubow.
Invited him for supper. Phil Orbanes called later & I invited him
also.
(cont. from 1/28) [1/28]
dials. Each car has a code on it which is dialed,
then the name you think it is. If correct you
end up with the three dials pointing to the same
color & shape. (Very rough). Setting up the dials
must have been quite a job. But it is too complicated
for children & not interesting enough for adults.
Phil showed up mock-ups of the packaging for the Gamescience
Program. It is an imitation of the 3M packaging but the picture
wraps around the end and makes you want to take it out to look
at what happens. He showed up INFINITY - a good tile game. We
then played two hands of CAR*TEL.- Played well, but too much like
BRIDGE and more complicated. Brought me the rules of these
two games and also ACTION and THE MONEY GAME.
They want two more games for the line. Jim is working
on a redo of CONFRONTATION and another is a business GAME
based on Conglomerates.
Showed them FITTING AND PROPER. Not much comment.
Stuart Kaplan of STUDENT SURVIVAL was supposed to call me but
didn't.
