MONDAY 13 JANUARY
1969 13th day - 352 days to come
Felicia called:
Letter from Arnold Shapiro. Decided that they can't find a place
for NOMINATION and CINEMA and are sending them back. Hopefully
the decision on the others will not be too long in coming.
Letter from Will Erickson. SPELLBINDER is in play panel and looks
promising. Answer should be in 45 days. FREE FOR ALL did not do so
well in the play panel and they are returning it. "You can't win them all."
She is being interviewed for a story on toys and games for
"American Girl" magazine. She'll try and push my games, but it prob-
ably won't work.
Bryce Russel sent a copy of a patent he thought I might be inter-
ested in.
Made a date to go there next Monday to look at some games.
Called 3M. Bill Caruson was away for 2 weeks, and Keith Tuggle for
1 week. Spoke to Bob Claude. Told him about the book. He'll
get the information on the card games to me as soon as they make
up their minds. All the results are not in yet.
He agrees with my rule changes for [crossed out] MONAD but nothing
will be done until the final decision.
Asked him about the missing card in VENTURE and he said he would
send me a whole new set. I asked for FOIL and TRYCE and he
said it would probably be O.K.
Told him about Alice & they hadn't heard about it. Said he
was going right in to tell Will.
Mary Hilt called Bernice during day. She had been trying to
reach I/S and couldn't get them. BB told her about Alice.
Called Felicia to tell her about telling Bob Claude and
also about Mary's call.
Jerry D'Arcey sent back ANOTHER by air. Came in pretty good
condition.
