WEDNESDAY 11 DECEMBER 1968
346th day - 20 days to come
Trying to work up a sample game for NETWORK. Spent several hours and
was getting frantic. Then BB played one with me and finally got
one on record. Then we played a game of TAKE IT AWAY. Worked O.K.
With m At dad's played three games of 500 RUMMY, with Ilka and Al.
Then dad, Al, and I played around with SOLITAIRE DICE, With a
scoring change dad suggested it worked great.
Called Fabio and asked if I should mention Pantheon Books in the
letter to the editor in Toys & Novelties. Yes. Also discussed
the typing and he doesn't figure that more than a few pages
will have to be retyped. BB also talked to him.
Called Felicia to tell her of my talk with Mike Spielman. (She said
he was the regional editor - he's the editor in chief.)
Also told her about ALPHABOK.
Alice has already sent FITTING & PROPER to AMT.

Bryce mentioned that Martin Gardner had said I was working
on an induction game and he, Bryce, was interested in
it. Told him it was forpaper and pencil. Also as we talked further
I gathered that it was a deduction game he was
interested in. Told him I could have one ready for him.
Bryce said they were coming out with 3 games for the
Toy Fair. One is the Canadian game RAT RACE (see 5/23) and
the other two they are working on. Told him about the
reviews in the book and he said he'd get me copies by the
beginning of February. I also told him that he should
look at AIRLINE before deciding on a skill money game. He
said that he will be in town in January and will come here
for a visit.
They will be adding new games after the Toy Fair.
They looked at Connor's TOTTER and Bryce is thinking of
using magnets to keep the pieces in place. The girls are
very anxious to sell something of Conner's.
Brought TOTALLY -- with me but forgot to show it.
After Bryce left talked some more. They are signing a BALI
contract with S & R, which can be terminated after 3 years
by either party.
Told them about my idea of an ad in the trade magazines.
They said that, as my agents, they [crossout] should, and could,
get articles on me placed in the magazines. We decided, however,
to follow up my on my lead with TOYS AND NOVELTIES and
not to tackle PLAYTHINGS now.
To TOYS AND NOVELTIES. Mr. Greenburger sick, so I spoke to Mike
