TUESDAY 26 NOVEMBER 1968
331st day - 35 days to come
Jim Dunnigan called me at work. Tonight he is getting together
with the fellow who is doing next year's A-H war GAME so
he can't join Phil & me. He will come here next Thursday for
supper.
Told me that A-H wants to use his WALL STREET game but
wants to lower the royalties so he will use that to break the
contract and give it to GameScience.
Showed Rimsky the letter from Victor Kamkin. The correct name is as follows:-
E. Minskin
Pionerskaja Igroteka
Izdatielstwo CK WLKSM
"Molodaja Guardija " 1966
To Childcraft & saw:
FOURS the English game of making 4 in a vow on a 4x4x4 board.
SPLIT WORDS. (Holiday) Ten cubes, 5 having word beginnings and 5 having word endings. The cubes are thrown by a player and he tries to form as many words as possible. The cubes have point values which give the score for each used as well as a bonus for using all 10.
HEADACHE (Kohner) (see 1/19). The 4 cones are started on the first 4 turns and (I believe) they move from the starting space according to the number on the die. There are two dice; one with numbers 1 to 6 and the other with one red dot and five blank faces The red dot gives another turn. This extra turn if it comes during the period of starting cones is used for moving a cone but not for placing another.
COLOROMOS (Center for the Gifted Child Inc.) ( See 11/30/63).
[diagram of hexagon, split into six triangles, with each triangle subdivided into triangles with dotted lines. Part of left side of diagram is shaded red.]
The pieces are triangular [drawing of triangle] and contain the 6 different primary and secondary colors. The set consists of 36 dominoes which are printed in sheets of 6 to be broken apart as shown, only part of the coloring being indicated. (The set I looked at only had 5 such sheets but there must be one for each color in complete control of a piece. Also the Solitaire version also works out with 36 pieces.) The solitaire version is to make up a large triangle using all the pieces and placing them so that all adjoining sides are the same color, or as a variation all adjoining sides are opposite each other on the color wheel.
The competative version they say is played like regular dominoes and each side touched must match but they are not clear about which pieces can be played upon.
